Sundhara Mahalingam Temple
Sundhara Mahalingam is the main temple at Sathuragiri. This temple contains the self-existed idol of lord Shiva. The linga is slightly slanted and clefted at the top. New moon and full moon day poojas are very special and a lot of people come here from various parts of the world to worship.
சுந்தர மகாலிங்கம் மலையின் பிரதான கோவிலாக விளங்குகிறது. இங்கு சிவா பெருமான் சுயம்புவாக எழுந்தருளி பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கிறார். சிவா லிங்கம் சற்று சாய்ந்த கோணத்திலும் பிளவுபட்ட நிலையிலும் உள்ளது. அம்மாவசை மற்றும் பௌர்ணமி கால பூஜைக மிகவும் சிறப்பு வாய்ந்தவை. உலகின் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் இருந்தும் பக்தர்கள் இக்கோவிலை தரிசிக்க வருகிறார்கள்.

Santhana Mahalingam Temple
Santhana Mahalingam temple is just opposite to Sundhara Mahalingam temple at a distance of about 100mts. This sanctum is worshiped by goddess Parvadhi Devi. Other than Santhana Mahalingam, Santhana Mariyamman and Santhana Mrugan are the other deities present here.
சந்தன மகாலிங்கம் அடுத்த முக்கிய தலமாக பக்தர்களால் வழிபடப்படுகிறது. சுந்தர மகாலிங்கத்தின் எதிரில் ஒரு 100 மீட்டர் தூரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளத் இக்கோவில். பார்வதி தேவி தவம் செய்து இங்குள்ள சிவலிங்கத்தை வழிபட்டதாக வரலாறு கூறுகிறது.சந்தன மகாலிங்கம் அருகில் சந்தன மாரியம்மன், சந்தன மருகன் ஆகிய கோவில்களும் அமையப்பெற்றுள்ளன.

Lord Ganesha Temple
Lord Ganesha temple is present at the entrance of the sathuragiri hill at thanipparai. Devotees first worship lord Ganesha before starting their yathra to the hill top.
கணபதி ஆலயம் சதுரகிரி மலை அடிவாரத்தில் உள்ள தானிப்பரையில் உள்ளது. பக்தர்கள் தங்களது பயணத்தில் தரிசிக்கும் முதல் கோவில் இதுவாகும்.

Vana Dhurga
Vana Dhurga is a temple on the way to hill top.The goddess is believed to be responsible for the safety of devotees in the hill.
வன துர்க்கை கோவில் சதுரகிரி மலைப்பாதையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த கோவிலில் உள்ள துர்க்கை அம்மன் காவல் தெய்வமாக வழிபடப் படுகின்றது. பக்தர்கள் வன துர்கையை வழிபட்டப் பின்னரே தங்கள் பயணத்தை தொடர்கின்றனர்.
வன துர்க்கை கோவில் சதுரகிரி மலைப்பாதையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த கோவிலில் உள்ள துர்க்கை அம்மன் காவல் தெய்வமாக வழிபடப் படுகின்றது. பக்தர்கள் வன துர்கையை வழிபட்டப் பின்னரே தங்கள் பயணத்தை தொடர்கின்றனர்.
Irattai Lingam
The next temple is irattai lingam. This temple is present on the way to Sundhara Mahalingam temple. Two idols of lord shiva are present here and hence called as Irattai Lingam, Irattai means two.
In ancient times there lived a husband and wife. They lived a happy and peaceful married life. They were made for each other except for one major difference. The husband was an ardent devotee of Siva and and the wife worshipped Hari (Vishnu/Krishna) devoutly. This difference in their choice of Ishta Deivam (Personal God) led to many a quarrels on whose god is more powerful. They approached many learned men but their answers convinced either the husband or wife but not both of them.
Realizing no one could come up with a convincing answer, one day they decided to do penance to find answer to this eternal question (in Hindu tradition) themselves. They came to Sathuragiri after deciding it would be the apt place for performing penance. The husband started meditating on Siva and the wife on Hari. After many years of penance, Lord Siva appeared before the husband and asked what he wants. The husband took Lords blessings. He also called his wife and showed her Lord Siva. He boasted saying that Lord Siva is the mightiest as he answered his prayers faster than Lord Hari. The wife agitatedly looked at Lord Siva and said I wanted to meet only Lord Hari and not you. Immediately Lord Siva appeared as Lord Hari and told the couple that both Siva and Hari are not two but one and asked the couple to forget their differences. The couple realizing their folly begged for forgiveness. The Lord then appeared as SankaraNarayanan (Siva and Hari) and blessed both husband and wife. Later the Lord took the the form of Svayambu Irattai (Twin - Siva and Hari) Lingam. It is said that Irattai Lingam was worshipped by the siddha, Roma Devar.
மலைப்பாதையில் உள்ள அடுத்த கோவில் இரட்டை லிங்கம் ஆகும். இங்கு சிவபெருமானின் லிங்க வடிவிலான இரண்டு திரு உருவச்சிலைகள் அமையப்பெற்றுள்ளதால் இது இரட்டை லிங்கம் என்று அழைக்கப் படுகின்றது.
முன்னொரு காலத்தில், தீவிர சிவ பக்தரான ஒரு கணவனும் விஷ்ணு பக்தையான மனைவியும் வாழ்ந்து வந்தனர். அந்த தம்பதியினருக்கு வாழ்கையில் தொடர்ந்து ஒரு குழப்பம் நிண்ட காலமாக இருந்து வந்தது. சிவம் பெரிதா ஹரி பெரிதா என்பதே அந்த குழப்பம். பல நாட்களாக அவர்களது வாழ்வில் இந்த விவாதம் சண்டையாக முடிந்து வந்தது.
இந்த சர்ச்சையை தீர்த்து வைக்க சதுரகிரியே சிறந்த இடம் என்று தீர்மானித்து அந்த தம்பதியினர் சதுரகிரிக்கு வந்தனர்.இருவரும் தங்களுடைய தெய்வங்களை மிகவும் உருகி வழிபட்டு வந்து கொண்டிருந்த வேளையில் கனவின் கண் முன்னே சிவ பெருமான் தோன்றினார்.உடனே தன மனைவியை அழைத்து வேண்டியவர்க்கு வரம் தர வல்லது சிவமே என்று காட்டினார். மனைவி சிவபெருமானை பார்த்து நான் உன்னை தரிசிக்க வரவில்லை விஷ்ணுவையே காண விரும்புகிறேன் என்று கூறினாள். உடனே சிவபெருமான் மறைந்து விஷ்ணு தோன்றினார். விஷ்ணு பெருமான் அந்த பெண்ணிடம் சிவமும் நானே ஹரியும் நானே. இரண்டும் ஒன்று தான் என்று கூறி அங்கேயே சுயம்புவாக தோன்றினார். இது சங்கர நாராயணன் என்று அழைகப்படுகிறது. ஒரு லிங்கம் சிவமாகவும் மற்றொரு லிங்கம் ஹரியாகவும் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த இரட்டை லிங்கம் ரோம தேவர் என்ற சித்தரால் வழிபட்டதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.

Vana Kali
Vana kali is situated at about 2 and a half kms from Santhana Mahalingam temple. The path is not as hard as that to Santhana Mahalingam or Sundhara Mahalingam.
Vana Kali is worshiped as a gaurdian for all the lives present in this forest. Each and every live in the forest is protected and saved by Vana Kali.
வன காளி சந்தன மகாலிங்கத்தில் இருந்து சுமார் இரண்டரை கிலோ மீட்டர் தூரத்தில் உள்ளது. இந்த பாதை சற்று எளிதான பாதையாகவே இருக்கும். வன காலி காவல் தெய்வமாக வணங்கப்படுகிறது. மலையில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு உயிரையும் காப்பது வன காளி அம்மன்.
Vana Kali is worshiped as a gaurdian for all the lives present in this forest. Each and every live in the forest is protected and saved by Vana Kali.

Periya Mahalingam
This is Worshipped by siddhars and only those who are destained to see it will be able to go there. The temple is above Sundhara mahalingam Temple and the path is very risky. Devotees are insisted not to go there without a proper guide.
Periya Mahalingam is a big single rock representing an idol of lord Shiva. This is worshipped by 18 siddhas. It is dangerous to go there unless you have a permission to visit from there. View from the back of Periya Mahaligam shows a big tree with five roots that resemble a five headed snake.
பெரிய மகாலிங்கம் பதினெட்டு சித்தர்களாலும் வழிபட்ட தளமாகும். அவர்களின் அனுமதி இன்றி அங்கு செல்வது ஆபத்தாகும். ஒருவர் இந்த ஸ்தலத்தில் சென்று வழிபட தகுதி பெரும் வரை இதை தரிசிக்க இயலாது.

Irattai Pillayar
Irattai pillayar or Irattai Ganapathy is a temple on the way to vellaipillayar temple from periya mahalingam temple. Two idols of Lord Ganesha, that are worshipped by Sidhas are present here. It is ana equally dangerous place as Periya Mahalingam and are not insisted to go there unless they have a permission from there.
