Do's and Dont's:

If you are coming to Sathuragiri for the very first time please go through this and follow the points given below:

Sathuragiri is not a place for research. Please avoid it.
Travel to the temple from Thaniparai may take a minimum time of 4 to 4.5 hrs. Please plan your trip accordingly.
On the top of the hill there is no electricity, range for cell phone, landline connection, hotels or lodges for stay.
Devotees can stay at mandapam near the temple.
Do not take heavy luggage. It will be very tough to climb.
Head load carriers are available.
Heart patients are strictly not insisted to climb
Please do not walk in the dark without proper torch light.
Do not travel alone. Join with other people and walk as a group.
Take nutritious food like biscuits in hand.
Take at least 2 ltrs of water per head. You may not get water till you reach the temple.
Take a torch light with you.
Please avoid bringing plastic bags, even it is inevitable, do not dispose in the hill or dump among the bushes.
Beware of animals. There are all kinds of animals present except Lion. Especially Elephants are most commonly found.
If you happen to see any animal, stay quiet and wait for it to move away and then move. Especially elephants are more dangeroous.
Please do not smoke anywhere at the hill.
Do not pluck flowers, leaves etc on the way or break any branch of the tree. Everything belong to the lord. Each and everything in the hill has got power.
Please do not move towards water bodies or stay near any river flow. the river may get flooded any time as the hill is a part of many other western mountains.
Do not roam anywhere. Please do not proceed if you are not sure about the way.
There are everyday annadhanam scheme providing food for all devotees every day.
Beware of people introducing themselves as siddhas.
Temple is crowded during full moon days and new moon days. special Poojas are also made.

ஒரு அன்பான வேண்டுகோள்

செய்ய வேண்டியதும், கூடாததும்:
சதுரகிரிக்கு முதல் முறையாக வரும் பக்தர்கள் கீழே உள்ளவற்றை படித்து பின்பற்றுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்ளபடுகிறார்கள்.

சதுரகிரி ஆராய்ச்சிக்கான இடம் அல்ல. தயவு செய்து ஆராய்ச்சி செய்யும் எண்ணத்தில் எவரும் வர வேண்டாம்.
தாணிப்பாறையில் இருந்து கோவிலை அடைய 4 முதல் 4 .5 மணிநேரம் ஆகலாம். தங்களுடைய பயணத்தை அதற்கு ஏற்றவாறு செய்து கொள்ளவும்.
மலை மேல் மின்சார வசதி, கைபேசி தொடர்பு, தொலைபேசி வசதி, உணவகங்கள், தாங்கும் விடுதி போன்ற வசதிகள் எதுவும் இல்லை.
பக்தர்கள் கோவில் அருகில் உள்ள மண்டபங்களில் தங்கலாம்.
இரவில் பயணம் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டாம்.
தனியாக பயணம் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். கோவிலுக்கு வரும் மற்ற பக்தர்களோடு இணைந்து பயணத்தை மேற்கொள்ளவும்.
உடம்பில் தெம்பூட்டும் உணவு பொருள்களை கொண்டு வருவது நல்லது.
குறைந்தது ஒரு நபருக்கு 2 லி.ட். தண்ணீர் கொண்டு வருவது நல்லது. கோவில் சென்று சேரும் வரை தண்ணீர் கிடைப்பது அரிது.
மின்விளக்கு ஒன்றை கையில் எடுத்து வருவது நல்லது.
பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களை கொண்டு வர வேண்டாம். முடியாத பட்சத்தில் பொருட்களை மலையில் அல்லது புதர்களில் போட வேண்டாம்.
சிங்கத்தை தவிர மற்ற அனைத்து வகையான வன விலங்குகளும் காட்டில் உண்டு. குறிப்பாக யானைகள் அதிகம்.
விலங்குகள் ஏதேனும் வழிகளில் தென்பட்டால். அமைதியாக இருந்து விளக்கை அனைத்து அவைகள் அச்சம் கொள்ளும் விதம் நடந்து கொள்ளாமல் அவைகள் சென்ற பின்னர் பயணத்தை தொடரவும்.
காட்டில் புகை பிடிக்க கூடாது.
செடிகளில் உள்ள பூக்களை பறிப்பது, மரக்கிளைகளை முறிப்பது போன்ற செயல்களில் ஈடுபட வேண்டாம். மலையில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு பொருளும் இறைவன் அம்சமே. ஒவ்வொரு பொருளும் அதற்கென ஒரு சக்தியை உடையது.
பக்தர்கள் தண்ணீர் இருக்கும் இடம் நோக்கி செல்வதையும், தண்ணீர் வரும் ஆறுகள் அருகில் வெகுநேரம் நிற்பதையும் தவிர்க்கவும். மேற்கு தொடர்ச்சி மலை என்பதால் காட்டாற்று வெள்ளம் அதிகம்.
பக்தர்கள் மலையின் மற்ற பகுதிகளில் சுற்றி திரிய வேண்டாம். பாதையில் குழப்பம் ஆனால் மேற்கொண்டு பயணத்தை தொடர வேண்டாம்.
பக்தர்கள் தாணிப்பாறை வழியாக மட்டும் வரவும்.
தினசரி அன்னதானம் கோவிலில் நடைபெறும்.
பக்தர்கள் தங்களிடம் வந்து சித்தர்கள் என்று அறிமுகம் செய்வோரிடம் கவனம் கொள்ளவும்.
கோவிலில் அம்மாவாசை மற்றும் பௌர்ணமி தினங்களில் பக்தர்கள் கூட்டம் அதிகம் இருக்கும். சிறப்பு பூஜைகளும் ஆராதனைகளும் நடைபெறும். மற்ற நாட்களில் பக்தர்கள் இருப்பது அரிது.
