SATHURAGIRI

       Sathuragiri is a divine land. Sathuragiri is referred with various names as sivanmalai, South Kailash, Vedhagiri, South Thiruvannamalai by different peoples. Since it is believed that Lord Shiva still lives in this hill it is known as Sivan malai. Various people and siddhas say worshipping lord Shiva in this hill is an equivalent to worshipping at Kailash and hence known as South Kailash. Sidhas live here and hence it is called as South Thiruvannamalai. It is believed that all the four Vedas combined together to form this hill, as sathur means four and hence also known as Vedhagiri. People say as it is surrounded by hills on all the four edges it is called Sathuragiri.         There are so many secrets and miracles within this hill. This hill is a treasure of wisdom for devotees. Devotees can feel god here. It is believed that Siddhas still live here.

சதுரகிரி

  சதுரகிரி, சிவன்மலை, தென்கைலாயம், தென் திருவண்ணாமலை, வேதகிரி என்று வெவ்வேறு பெயர்களில் வெவ்வேறு மக்களாலும், ரிஷிகளாலும், சிதர்களாலும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது சதுரகிரி மலை. சிவபருமான் இன்றளவும் இம்மலையில் வாசம் செய்வதால் இம்மலை சிவன்மலை என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இம்மலையில் சிவபெருமானை தரிசனம் செய்வது கைலாய மலையில் தரிசிப்பதற்கு சமமானது என்று பல்வேறு சித்தர்களால் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளதால் இது தென் கைலாய மலை என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. சித்தர்கள் இன்றளவும் இம்மலையில் வாழ்ந்து வருவதால் இது தென் திருவண்ணாமலை என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. நான்கு வேதங்களும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து உருவானது சதுரகிரி என்ற நம்பிக்கையும் உள்ளது எனவே இம்மலை வேதகிரி என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. சுற்றிலும் நான்கு திசைகளில் மலைகளால் சூழப்பட்டுள்ளதால் இது சதுரகிரி என்ற பெயரை பெற்றது.

                      சதுரகிரி பல்வேறு அதிசயங்களையும், இரகசியங்களையும் தன்னுள் மறைத்து வைத்திருக்கிறது. இது பக்தர்களுக்கு கிடைத்த அருட்புதையலாகவும் போக்கிஷமாகவும் கருதப்படுகிறது. பக்தர்கள் கடவுளை இங்கே உணர முடிகிறது.
